Dr. Horstman grew up in Louisville, KY. He attended undergrad at the University of Kentucky where he graduated in 2017 with a degree in Animal Sciences, then graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. Following graduation, Dr. Horstman worked in Horse Cave, KY and then in Owensboro, KY where he practiced as a mixed animal veterinarian working with dogs, cats, cattle, horses, reptiles, and other exotics including camels, kangaroos and various birds.
Dr. Horstman has a desire to learn as much as possible about anything and everything. Dr. Horstman hopes to build in his advanced diagnostic imaging skills with ultrasound and endoscopy. He loves the opportunities and challenges that veterinary medicine presents each and every day.
In his free time, Austin enjoys being with his wife Natalie, his son Callahan, family and friends. He is an avid sports fan with college basketball and football being his favorite past times. Austin also enjoys anything nerdy. At home Austin has two rescue kiddos in Gizmo (DSH) and River (toy Australian Shepherd).
